Topic: Social Media Marketing and its impact on satisfaction level of customers of marks and spencer.
Background
As per the current business scenario organizations have major focus on the customer’s and their requirements. For fulfilling their needs and expectations companies are using number of strategies. Social media marketing is also one of the major technique for increasing the awareness of customers about the products and services (Clark and et al, 2017). Sometimes it has positive impact on customer preference but on the other hand it has some negative effects also. So, the current research will focus on determining the major impacts of social media on satisfaction level of customer.
Aim
To determine the impact of Social Media on satisfaction level of customers of Marks and Spencer.
Objectives
- To critically analyze the role of Social media in customer’s purchase decision to buy products and services of Marks and Spencer.
- To Identify positive and negative impact of Social Media Networks on customers of Marks and Spencer.
- To suggest appropriate strategy to Marks and Spencer to improve the social media marketing and satisfaction of customers.
Rational (Reason Behind the selection of the topic)
Satisfaction level of customer is one of the major concern for every retail firm because competition has become high in the UK market. It is an issue because it has direct impact on profitability of an organization. Social media marketing is one of the major strategy for attracting customers (Oh and et al, 2017). So, at present Marks and Spencer is investing their time and money in social media marketing. But, still no one is aware about the impacts on social media marketing on satisfaction level of customers. So, author has decided to conduct investigation on this topic.
Research Methodology
As per the above discussion Researcher will conduct investigation on social media marketing and its positive and negative impacts on satisfaction level of customers of Marks and Spencer. For making investigation on this topic Researcher will use different research methods such as research philosophy, design and techniques. The current research will be based on objectivity of the research aim so, it will use the positivism research paradigm. Along with this, it is one of the theoretical aspect and for designing an appropriate research plan researcher will use the descriptive research design (Ary and et al, 2018). In addition, determining the impact of social media marketing on customer’s satisfaction author will apply both qualitative and quantitative techniques. These strategies will provide assistance in resolving the research problem in effective way.
For attaining aim and objectives author will focus on collecting some specific data related to the customer’s problem and their level of satisfaction. Regarding this, study will apply two different methods of the data collection such as primary and secondary data collection methods. In which primary data collection techniques will help in collecting new and latest data n about the customer’s experience towards the social media marketing. Regarding this, author will develop a structured questionnaire. Author will conduct a survey of customers of the Marks and Spencer because they will help in getting facts about the actual impact of social media marketing on purchasing behavior of customers. Sample size for this survey will be 30 because it will help in presenting all types of characteristics of whole customers (Clark and et al, 2017). On the other hand, author will also find some past information about the similar subjects using the literature review. For analyzing all collected facts and figures author will use thematic and statistical analysis (Tuten and Solomon, 2017). These will resolve the research problem and get the appropriate solution for all objectives.
