Abstract
The objective of this research study is to identify the impact of demotivation over the performance of employees. The researcher has used secondary data collection method for gathering relevant information. The instruments used include articles, journals, books, website, etc. with respect to the issue. Proper use of tools and equipment have made investigator to resolve the issues for increasing performance of the companies.
Introduction
Employees are the most important assets of an organization. The active contribution of workers leads to increase productivity and profitability of a firm. It is quite difficult for the companies to keep their employees motivated concerning their work. In the present time, organizations are failing to manage and maintain their workforce effectively. One of the serious issues is related to lack of motivation among the staff members. Demotivation among the staff is generally due to factors like their job, salary, poor performance, working environment, etc. which results to impact the growth and development of the organization. These issues make employees leave their team and search for the better option where they can feel motivated and satisfied. Lack of motivation decreases the performance of individuals and results to demotivate team members dissatisfy clientele, endangers economic stability and many others. For maintaining market position and performance, it is necessary for the organizations to keep their employees motivated. Performance of the staff is directly proportional to their motivational level. This lack of motivation increases the chances of a decrease in performance. It is compulsory for the firms to keep their staff motivated for improving their performance and achieving their objectives effectively and efficiently (Asim 6).
The present business research is based on the impact of lack of motivation over the performance of employees and organization. The file consists of different methods of the type of research methods, research philosophy, approach, data collection tools, and techniques.
Methods
Research methodology refers to the systematic and theoretical analysis of the methods which are applied to the study for accomplishing desired objectives. The present study included the below-explained methods:

Research Philosophy: It is a process about the manner in which data about the subject is collected, analyzed and used correctly. There are two types of research philosophy: positivism and interpretivism. For the current study, interpretivism philosophy was being used for accomplishing the objective of resolving the issue regarding demotivation and its impact on the performance of employees and organization. The reason behind selecting this method is to conduct in-depth analysis and qualitative investigation of the research.

Data Collection Method: The process of collecting and measuring the data or information from different sources is called as data collection. There are two types of data gathering method: Primary and secondary methods. The primary selection method is used for gathering real and original information from the individuals concerning the investigation. These methods include questionnaires, interviews, focus group interviews, observation, case-studies, scientific experiments and many others. On the other hand, secondary data collection refers to the data which is already available from the other sources. This information is gathered with the help of business magazines, articles, journals, websites, books, company information and many others (Van Iddekinge 10)
With respect to the current study, secondary collection method was used by the researcher for gathering information regarding the impact of demotivation over the performance of the employees of organizations. Data has been collected through relevant websites, journals, articles, etc. for resolving the issue

Equipment: For conducting the present research, various equipment was used by the researcher. These include the use of computer system for typing and searching the relevant information from the internet. Along with this, MS Office is used for creating the study accurately and efficiently. Use of internet helped in completing the research in given period with the use of excellent resources. The use of all the methods helped scholar in identifying appropriate solutions for resolving the issue regarding the impact of demotivation over the performance of employees.
Results
With the help of above methods, it has identified that companies need to increase motivation level of their employees for keeping their production stable and high. Secondary information aware about the various motivational theories like Maslow Need for Hierarchy, Herzberg’s two-factor theory, X and Y theory, etc. which can increase motivation and satisfaction level of the staff towards their work. Along with this, an appropriate reward system can also make workers improve their performance and capabilities. Use of both intrinsic and extrinsic reward methods can lead to increase motivation level of the workers which will help in resolving the issues of companies (Ibrahim 51).
It has also been identified that firms need to conduct training and development sessions for increasing knowledge and skills of the staff members as per the requirement of present time. This will raise the job satisfaction and make workers stay with the company and contribute to its development and growth. There are two types of training: On-the-job (Job rotation, coaching, job instruction, internship training, etc.) and off-the job (role play, in-basket method, lectures, simulation, conferences, etc.). Organizations can use these types as per their and workers need and want (Uzonna 199).
Implementation of above methods and approaches will help companies in resolving their issue regarding lack of motivation and poor performance. In the end, firms can use various performance appraisal methods such as 360-degree performance appraisal, checklist method, Essay method, ranking, etc. for evaluating the performance of its employees. This will help in analyzing the difference between the performance difference due to demotivation and motivation.
Discussion
From the above, it is found that motivation and performance are connected to each other. Demotivation negatively impacts on the profit margin and productivity of the firms. To resolve this, organizations need to take effective and strict actions. Companies are failing due to improper management of work and manpower. Along with the other factors, it is also important to look after the staff members and their desires for accomplishing the objectives.
Companies should improve their working environment by using appropriate motivational theories, reward system, and training sessions. Lack of motivation diverts, the mind of workers from their work and in the result, makes them perform poorly. With the help of obtained results, organizations can enhance their productivity by increasing performance of the staff members. Along with this, firms also need to create a positive working culture for motivating individuals to develop effective relations by interaction. This will also result to enhance performance by teamwork, cooperation, and coordination.
